    Disaster Management
Under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, NDMA is empowered to make plans and guidelines for the management of disasters in India. It is also expected to support Indian initiatives to help foreign countries after natural disasters. School safety is defined as creating a safe environment for children from their homes to their schools and back. This includes protection
from natural hazards of geological/climatic origin, man-made risks, transport and other related emergencies. Kendriya Vidyalaya, NFR Maligaon has designated a Safety Focal Point
Teacher, sensitized the School Management Committee, and developed a cadre of peer Teachers. In addition, the school has implemented various safety plans such as warning systems, identification of evacuation routes, access to emergency vehicles, storage of emergency equipment and their regular maintenance. The boundary wall around the building is well
maintained, emergency numbers are displayed at every visible corner and with proper installation of CCTV cameras the school has been made a safe place for the students.
